Privacy Policy

Draft, not final. This page is structured placeholder content for development purposes. It has not been reviewed by legal counsel and will be replaced with the real text before public launch.

1. Information we collect

Account information (email, password), profile information you provide (first name, date of birth, gender, location, photos, interests, relationship intention), and activity data generated by using the platform (likes, matches, messages, reports).

2. How we use it

To operate core features (matching, messaging), keep the platform safe (moderation, block/report handling), and communicate essential account information (e.g. email verification, password reset). We do not sell your personal data.

3. What's visible to other users

Your first name, age (computed from date of birth, never your birth date itself), photos, neighbourhood-level location, and profile details you choose to add. Your email address, exact birth date, and full location are never shown to other users.

4. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account (see how to delete your account) permanently removes your profile and associated personal data, with limited exceptions retained for legal/safety record-keeping (e.g. moderation history tied to reports you were involved in).

5. Your rights

You can access and edit most of your information directly in your profile settings, and permanently delete your account and data at any time.

6. Data security

Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access to personal data is restricted by row-level database security, and administrative access is role-gated and logged.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect.
